On December 23rd, 2013, the Information Technology Company for Defense (XETID) was created in the University of Informatics Sciences (UCI). It is dedicated to the software, automation technology and communication industry, and its mission is the projection, design, development and marketing of products and services, based on the use of communication and computerization technologies. It provides technical management and consulting services, deployments, transfers of technologies, development of strategies, information and communication channels; as well as comprehensive technological solutions that guarantee and contribute to the development of the country's computerization process.
With several offices in Cuba, it offers computer solutions that cover the main sectors and business needs. In addition, it provides a technical support service with coverage throughout the country, guaranteeing its customers the stability and maintenance of solutions.
